CIG and Odessa National Polytechnic University are preparing an educational program for the IT students
A Memorandum between Chernovetskyi Investment Group and Odessa National Polytechnic University lays a cornerstone for the development of an educational program, which will start in the fall of 2017. Through this program, students of the Institute of Computer Systems, which is a part of the University, will be able to receive expert and financial support from CIG.
The program is designed to create additional motivation for the students, postgraduates and young scientists to develop innovations, learn how to commercialize ideas, and work out mechanisms for implementing innovative projects.
On behalf of CIG, the Memorandum was signed by the managing partner Vladimir Kryvko, and on behalf of the University – by the rector Gennady Oborsky.
"For us, cooperative educational program is an opportunity to contribute to the creation of the favorable conditions for the implementation of technological projects, commercialization of promising ideas, and formation of an advanced IT market in Ukraine. We want to revive science, so that talented young people would not leave the profession, would not work solely on outsourcing, but could transform their ideas into business. Our students generate hundreds of interesting ideas and innovations that could be commercialized and bring scientific and financial success to the authors, the University and the economy of Ukraine," – said Vladimir Kryvko.
According to him, many of the students are talented young people who want to implement their ideas. "We will provide them, first and foremost, with expert support as the portfolio of our company includes many successful projects both in Ukraine and around the world. In addition, the authors of the selected projects will receive financial support and a chance to have an internship abroad," – said the managing partner of CIG.
"The demand for technical specialties is growing, and we focus on their development, which includes inviting the cooperation of the leading Ukrainian companies. Who is better fit than the market leaders to know about what skills, approaches, and experience is in demand today in the IT market? Extensive market expertise in combination with the classical academic education will allow us to prepare excellent specialists," – emphasized the rector of the University Gennady Oborsky.
The pilot project of the educational program is focused on the 2017-2018 academic year. Detailed requirements for candidates and projects, as well as the conditions for participation in the educational program, will be published soon. The authors of the projects will make a presentation before a special commission, which will include representatives of the University and CIG.
As a part of the program, participants will receive expert and mentor support from Chernovetskyi Investment Group for the development of their projects. At the end of the school year, the commission will select the best participant for an internship in one of the international projects.
