Chernovetskyi Investment Group (CIG) sold the country’s largest aggregator of private medical institutions to a Ukrainian group of companies Effective Investments. The transaction amount was not disclosed but both parties noted their satisfaction with the agreement.

In 2014, CIG invested in DOC.UA, an online platform for choosing a medical practitioner and scheduling an appointment. In just five years, DOC.UA has become the largest player in the Ukrainian market.

Stepan Chernovetskyi, CIG founder and DOC.UA shareholder, notes: “It was not just a venture deal – we created a successful project and turned it into a market leader. I believe that CIG and DOC.UA collaboration is one of the most brilliant examples of business partnership.” Volodymyr Kryvko, CIG managing partner and DOC.UA mentor, adds: “We did not just invest in a company created by an entrepreneur, we shaped this company together: performed market analysis, created strategic development concept, recruited a team. Essentially, DOC.UA grew in a CIG-based business-incubator. We were not merely an investor in this project but a hands-on partner providing legal support, creating the product and developing the business. This is very rare for both Ukrainian and global markets.”

Sergey Kazantsev, DOC.UA founder and CEO engaged in this business since 2013, emphasizes the unique nature of the project: “DOC.UA has grown significantly over the past five years. No doubt, big challenges await. However, the new shareholder fully supports our development strategy. The scaling potential and our shared values will allow the company to achieve new milestones.”

Effective Investments Company (EFI) – the new shareholder of DOC.UA – is chaired by Igor Liski.

“Efficiency is our main value. We invest in numerous successful projects and modernize the entire industries. This is why it is important for the whole team and for me personally to choose those projects that can be creative. Each of our projects produces a surrounding ecosystem, allows its employees and clients to advance, expands the capacity of Ukraine in general. DOC.UA is an investment in the quality of medical care in our country. This is also a significant step for the IT sector in which I have the utmost confidence. We have acquired the Ukrainian market leader and we have invested in a unique team of specialists. DOC.UA will scale up, its technology and its team are able to improve and amaze the world,” shared Igor Liski.

CIG successfully exited the investment and Effective Investments Company now holds the Ukrainian market leader in online medical search.

DOC.ua is a free online doctor search and appointment service launched in 2014. Now, DOC.UA hosts more than 1,300 clinics and 7,000 doctors in 24 Ukrainian cities. The service is tailored to solve the problem of choosing a suitable specialist and making a quick appointment. DOC.UA is absolutely free for patients and has no hidden charges or commissions. The users can choose a clinic or a doctor based on real patients’ reviews, prices, working hours or medical center location. For patient’s convenience, an online appointment feature was launched in March 2019. Read more: https://doc.ua/
