Shoal Games Ltd., the owner of Rooplay edu-games platform and Rooplay Originals games library, announced the acquisition of Kidoz Ltd., a privately-held Israeli company. Chernovetskyi Investment Group has been an investor of Kidoz since 2015. The companies intend to consolidate and advance their position in the expanding and competitive digital market for children.
The management chose the name Kidoz Inc. for the new company to better reflect its strategy and focus on technology for children: “Kidoz is a powerful brand with excellent market recognition and established trust with our partners and customers. We are committed to bringing safe and engaging content to our clients and the name Kidoz best reflects this mission.”
Kidoz Inc. will provide a unique Kid Safe platform for digital content distribution and monetization that engages over 50 million children and parents worldwide. The combination of Kidoz’ tech capabilities and Shoal Games’ content will allow the company to bring unique safe games to the global market. This exposure is possible due to the licensing of several manufacturers of mobile devices for children, such as Lenovo tablets.
The company is projecting fast growth. The acquisition is expected to result in improved management efficiency, Shoal Games' cost-effective management practices, integrated operations and controls and implementation of best practices.
With a decline in kids’ TV and increasing shift to digital media, the company’s success lies in exclusive content, access to the millions of families and an OTT subscription platform.

It offers a handpicked and growing selection of interactive educational games. Rooplay uses the same monthly subscription model as Netflix but provides unique content.
