Zakaz.ua, a food delivery service, is joining the social initiative of the Social Policy Department of the Kyiv City State Administration in order to deliver essential goods to the most vulnerable residents of Kyiv: the seniors and people with disabilities.
Zakaz.ua will deliver 1,000 free food kits to the residents of capital in high-risk group. The kit will include the most essential items: bread, cereals, butter, dairy and meat products, sweets, vegetables, fruit and personal hygiene items.
The purpose is to protect the most exposed people from excessive risks and help them follow the self-isolation recommendations of the Ministry of Health.
“The lonely seniors, the people with severe diseases and disabilities are most vulnerable today because each trip to a shop is the risk of catching a disease, including the coronavirus. In the crisis, we should support each other so we are happy to handle some routine of the seniors” comments Andrii Kurskyi, CEO of Zakaz.ua.
“The great thing is that the business is proactive and ready to act rather than speak! We would like to take active part in this initiative as Kyiv has many residents who needs support today. Such charitable initiatives not only deliver the essential goods to the people with low income and the lonely seniors, but also give them confidence about the future!” says Ihor Liski, the representative of the Kyiv Volunteer Headquarters for Combating COVID-19.
Zakaz.ua calls those who care to join the initiative.
